Motorists will face another higher fuel costs this week, starting Tuesday, February 24, as major oil companies implement another round of price hikes.
According to the Department of Energy (DOE), local oil firms will raise the price of diesel and kerosene by P1.20 per liter, while gasoline will increase by P0.60 per liter.
The adjustments will take effect from 6 a.m. onwards.
This marks the ninth consecutive week of price increases for diesel and kerosene, and the seventh week in a row for gasoline.
The DOE attributes the consecutive hikes to sustained movements in global oil prices and foreign exchange rates, which continue to affect local pump prices.
