Filipino actor Dennis Trillo has earned one of the highest honors in Asian entertainment after being named Asia’s Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 2025 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) for his performance as Domingo Zamora in the film “Green Bones.”
The acclaimed actor emerged victorious over 11 top performers from across the region, including Australian actor Jacob Elordi for “The Narrow Road to the Deep Road” and South Korean star Park Bo-gum for “When Life Gives You Tangerines.”
The awards ceremony was held on December 4 in Singapore.
In a separate post, Trillo shared that he was unable to attend the prestigious event to personally accept his award.
In the film, the actor portrayed a notorious criminal involved in a series of high-profile crimes.
Dennis also won Best Actor for the same film at the Gawad Urian Awards.
Trillo was not the only Filipino talent honored at this year’s AACA. ABS-CBN’s adaptation of “Saving Grace,” led by actress Julia Montes, was also among the sole Filipino winners, taking home the award for Best Drama Series.
