Actor Dennis Trillo recently responded to a social media comment asking about a possible physical confrontation involving someone identified only as “Patrick.”

Trillo kept his response brief, saying, “Hindi ako pumapatol sa Starfish.”

It remains unclear whether the “Patrick” mentioned in the comment refers to actor Patrick Garcia. Trillo also did not provide further details or explain what he meant by his response.

The exchange drew attention from social media users amid ongoing online discussions surrounding statements made by Garcia about his past relationship with Jennylyn Mercado, who is now married to Trillo.

In a recent interview with Ogie Diaz, Garcia opened up about his past relationship with Mercado and said he decided to tell his side after their daughter, Jazz, allegedly experienced online bashing because of issues involving him.

Garcia recalled his daughter telling him that she was sad because people were criticizing her because of him. According to the actor, his daughter encouraged him to tell his story so people would know what really happened between him and Mercado.

Trillo earlier reacted to Garcia’s remarks in a social media post, where he expressed his opposition to online bashing.

“Hindi ako pabor sa bashing, pero salamat at naalala mo si Jazz dahil sa pag-bash sa anak mo. Spread love, not hate,” Trillo said.

Meanwhile, Mercado’s longtime manager Becky Aguila also publicly addressed Garcia’s interview.

Calling herself Mercado’s “second mom,” Aguila questioned Garcia’s decision to discuss their past relationship in an interview instead of reaching out privately.

Aguila said she was hurt for Mercado and claimed that Garcia’s account contained details that were incomplete or inaccurate. She also said Mercado had chosen to remain silent about their past out of respect for Garcia as the father of their daughter and for his family.

“Pasensya na Patrick pero yung truth mo maraming kulang at dagdag. Nanahimik na nanay mo, binuhay mo ulit ang issue and this is all on you,” Aguila said.

Mercado and Garcia share a daughter, Jazz, who was born in 2008. Mercado is now married to Trillo, and they have a daughter, Dylan.
