Actor Dennis Trillo responded to Patrick Garcia’s recent interview, in which the former actor addressed his past relationship with actress Jennylyn Mercado and allegations that he abandoned her while she was pregnant with their son, Alex Jazz.

Trillo said he does not support the bashing surrounding the issue but thanked Garcia for remembering their son, Jazz, after years of silence.

“Hindi ako pabor sa bashing, pero salamat at naalaala mo si Jazz dahil sa pag-bash sa anak mo,” Trillo said.

Meanwhile, Jennylyn will not comment or grant interviews regarding Garcia’s statements about their past, according to Aguila Entertainment.

The statement came after Garcia discussed his controversial breakup with Jennylyn and explained his side of their relationship.

Jennylyn, through her camp, also appealed for an end to the hate and urged the public not to bash Garcia’s family, particularly his daughter, Michelle Garcia.

“Everyone is entitled to share their story on whatever platform they choose. In this case, Jennelyn would rather not share her side of the story out of respect for the privacy and peace of mind of both her family and Patrick’s,” Aguila Entertainment said.

In a YouTube vlog interview with Ogie Diaz, Garcia said he decided to speak about his past with Jennylyn after his daughter Michelle began receiving hate comments on social media because of him.

Garcia and Jennylyn were previously in a relationship and welcomed their son, Alex Jazz, in 2008.

Addressing claims that he left Jennylyn during her pregnancy, Garcia clarified that his absence was not intentional.

“To those bashers who say I was never there for Jen during her pregnancy, that’s true. I was never there for Jen during her pregnancy, not because I didn’t want to be there, but because she didn’t want me to be there,” Garcia said.
