The camp of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa is seeking reconsideration of the order requiring him to surrender his firearms following the revocation of his license.
PNP Civil Security Group Director PMGen. Aden Lagradante said Dela Rosa’s camp has written the Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) regarding the matter.
The PNP previously revoked Dela Rosa’s License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and the registrations of 117 firearms under his name. As of June, only 26 firearms had been surrendered, leaving 91 still unaccounted for under the revocation order.
Dela Rosa held a Type 5 LTOPF, which allows a qualified collector to own up to 15 firearms, according to the information provided by authorities.
The revocation followed the issuance of an arrest warrant against Dela Rosa by the International Criminal Court (ICC). The ICC unsealed the warrant on May 11, 2026, over allegations of crimes against humanity.
The PNP said the firearms covered by the revocation order are subject to surrender or proper turnover in accordance with the law.
