The Palace on Monday said that the notable dip in Vice President Sara Duterte’s trust and performance ratings reflects her lack of contribution in resolving the pressing issues of inflation and oil price hikes the country is confronting today.

In a message to reporters, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said all Duterte has done is drag Marcos’ name through the mud, but has been unable to offer the Filipino people solutions to mitigate their plight.

“Sa pagbaba ng ratings ni VP Sara ay reflection ng katotohanan na wala siyang naitutulong sa gobyerno para masolusyunan ang issues ng inflation at pagtaas ng presyo ng krudo. Puro paninira pero walang naibibigay na anumang solusyon,” she said.

Unlike Duterte, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has been hard at work, Castro said.

In a recent survey conducted by OCTA Research, Duterte’s trust rating declined by 8 percent, from 55 percent in March to 47 percent in July. Meanwhile, her performance rating fell from 50 percent to 45 percent.

The survey indicates that this decline was recorded across socioeconomic classes and most regions, with the exception of Mindanao, where she maintains high trust and performance ratings at 89 and 90, respectively.
