The death toll from the collapsed nine-storey building in Brgy. Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga has risen to 27, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Central Luzon announced.

As of 7:10 PM on Wednesday, June 3, the BFP – Central Luzon said that another individual was extricated near victim number 26, raising the confirmed number of casualties.

Victim number 26 was extricated by the Unified Command at 6:40 PM during the ongoing search, rescue, and retrieval operations.

The nine-storey building collapsed on May 24 at around 2:30 AM, damaging nearby structures. Most of the individuals trapped inside the building were believed to be construction workers.
