Actor Daniel Padilla has called out a media outlet after it described him as “delulu” or “delusional” over his recent social media posts concerning the country’s current situation.

Padilla recently shared on his Instagram Stories posts about the ongoing flooding in the Philippines, including content discussing how the country could look if government efforts were properly carried out. The posts reportedly prompted speculation that he could be considering a future in politics.

In response, Padilla shared a screenshot of the post and directly addressed the media outlet, saying that he was simply doing his part as a Filipino.

“Ginagawa ko lang ang parte ko bilang Pilipino para sa Pilipinas. Tinawag niyo pa kong delusional. Eh mga g*go pala kayo dyan e,” Padilla said.

The actor’s posts came amid widespread flooding in several parts of the country following heavy rains, with discussions on disaster response and flood-control measures continuing to draw public attention.

The report that prompted Padilla’s reaction also linked his socially relevant posts to speculation about a possible political ambition. However, Padilla did not indicate in his response whether he intends to enter politics, and his statement focused on his role as a Filipino and his decision to use his platform to share issues affecting the country.

As of the latest reports, the media outlet and the writer behind the article has yet to issue a response to Padilla’s remarks.
