After 36 years of serving baking enthusiasts and sweet-tooth customers Chocolate Lover Inc., the iconic baking supplies store in Cubao, is set to close its castle-like doors today, December 27.

Entrepreneur Annie Carmona-Lim announced the closure in November, marking the end of an era for the store that has been a staple in Metro Manila’s baking community since 1989.

“Thank you very much po sa lahat. Pero talagang ganoon, may simula at may goodbye. May kasabihan nga wala namang forever. Pero I’m so blessed na talagang binigay sa akin ‘to ng Diyos,” Carmona-Lim said in an emotional video statement.

Carmona-Lim started Chocolate Lover after recovering from cancer, investing an initial capital of just P6,000. Over the decades, the store grew into a beloved establishment, earning a loyal following among bakers and chocolate enthusiasts alike.
