Jaja Santiago is set for a brief return to the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) in 2026, suiting up for Creamline in a limited stint before heading to the United States to continue her professional career.

Santiago, who now goes by Sachi Minowa after acquiring Japanese citizenship, will rejoin the PVL for the first time in five years.

Her comeback comes ahead of her move to the San Francisco Signal in the League One Volleyball (LOVB) Pro League, which is scheduled to begin in January.

The 6-foot-5 middle blocker last played in the PVL during the league’s bubble season, where she powered Chery Tiggo to its first professional title. Santiago delivered a dominant performance in the finals, leading the Crossovers to a dramatic Game 3 victory over Creamline.

Since then, she has built a career overseas, including a stint as an import in Japan’s SV.League.

Her return provides a boost for Creamline, which is aiming to reclaim the Invitational Conference title after a two-year drought.

Creamline has one remaining PVL on Tour game set for August 22 in Victorias City against Galeries. The team’s scheduled stop in Santiago, Isabela was canceled due to habagat rains brought by tropical depression Maymay.
