Creamline is back on the Premier Volleyball League’s biggest stage.
The Cool Smashers snapped a three-conference finals drought on Thursday, outlasting Farm Fresh in a four-set victory, 25-23, 14-25, 25-23, 25-19, in a winner-take-all semifinal match in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.
Drawing from championship experience and late-game composure, Creamline recovered from a second-set setback and leaned on timely execution in the closing stretch of the third and fourth frames to clinch the last finals berth.
The victory also served as redemption for Creamline, which avenged an earlier loss to Farm Fresh in the preliminary round. The Cool Smashers improved their semifinal campaign enough to secure a spot in the best-of-three championship series against Cignal.
It marks Creamline’s first finals appearance since completing a historic grand slam in 2024. The team now has a chance to end a title drought that has lasted more than a year.
Game 1 of the finals between Creamline and Cignal is scheduled for Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, renewing a rivalry last seen in the 2024 Invitationals.
Farm Fresh, which finished the semifinals with a 1-2 record, dropped to the battle for third place.
Meanwhile, PLDT closed its semifinal run on a strong note despite missing the finals, sweeping Cignal, 25-17, 25-22, 25-23, in just 77 minutes.
Already out of contention, PLDT prevented Cignal from completing a semifinal sweep and snapped its own skid after losses to Creamline and Farm Fresh.
The High Speed Hitters will now shift focus to the bronze medal match against Farm Fresh.
