The continuous dry air entrainment from the northeast monsoon is expected to result in the gradual weakening of Tropical Depression “Ada,” the PAGASA said.
As of 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, TD Ada was seen moving eastward over the Philippine Sea east of Northern Luzon at 970 km.
It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and a central pressure of 1000 hPa. It is currently moving eastward at 25 km/h.
Meanwhile, there are no Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) in effect.
Ada is forecast to move generally southeastward for the next 24 hours. According to the state weather bureau, Ada may be downgraded into a low pressure area (LPA) by Wednesday, January 21.
