Content creator Louise Anne Nagal popularly known as Lans, shared an emotional experience after visiting Pag-asa Island in the Municipality of Kalayaan, Palawan, as part of a trip with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

In her latest vlog, Lans said it was his first time riding a Philippine Air Force aircraft. She admitted that the journey moved her to tears as he reflected on the situation in the West Philippine Sea and the sacrifices of Filipino troops stationed there.

"Yung hope na meron sila and yung bravest soldiers natin na nandoon, pinaglalaban yung karapatan natin sa West Philippine Sea. Well, in fact, sa atin naman talaga siya," Lans said.

She added that the presence of government personnel on the island helps uplift the morale of the local community.

"Kapag nakikita ng community na may mga soldiers tayo doon, nabibring back yung hope, yung moral natin na dapat talaga natin siyang ipaglaban."

During his visit, Lans also spoke with local fishermen, who shared the challenges they face in making a living due to the declining fish catch compared to previous years. She likewise highlighted the daily lives of residents, including students and teachers at the island's only school.

The content creator also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received from the community.

"Hindi ko akalain na ganito kainit ang pagtanggap sa akin. Kitang-kita ko sa mga mata nila yung hope na mapakinggan sila at maging maayos ang kanilang lugar."

Throughout the vlog, Lans encouraged Filipinos to become more aware of the situation in Pag-asa Island and to support the people living there.

"Hindi lang ito laban sa territories. Laban natin ito para sa buong bansa at para sa future generations."

Lans is an educational creator and a veterinary medicine student at Cavite State University. She is famous for her signature opening line, "This is Laaans!", and her bite-sized fun facts and veterinary tips.
