After years of being in a loving relationship, OPM singer-songwriter Timothy Dionela, famously known in the music scene as Dionela, is officially engaged to his longtime non-showbiz girlfriend, Meizy Joaquin Mendoza.

The heartfelt proposal took place onstage on Friday, November 21, during the first night of his “The Grace Tour” concert at the New Frontier Theater in Manila, where it was witnessed by a cheering crowd.

EMI Records Philippines later shared clips of the emotional proposal on their social media pages, allowing fans to relive the touching scene.

During the proposal, Dionela reflected on their journey together, recalling the struggles they had overcame and the unwavering support Meizy showed through the years.

“Naalala ko noong kasama kita nung binenta ko yung huling gitara ko, tapos gusto ko nang mag-quit, tapos umiiyak tayong dalawa no’n.Tapos ano, nandito na tayo sa New Frontier, ang daming tao,” Dionela said.

“Sinamahan mo ako mula sa umpisa hanggang ngayon. Gusto sana kitang yayain, samahan mo ako habambuhay,” the singer added.

The couple’s love story began long before their romantic relationship, they had been close friends for seven years before officially getting together in February 2018. Since then, they have shared countless milestones, leading up until the emotional engagement fans witnessed during the concert.
