Filipino comedian and performer Gil Aducal Morales, popularly known as Ate Gay, has reportedly passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026, according to his family.
In the statement, the family said the comedian peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones after a prolonged battle with health complications.
“It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our beloved Gil Aducal Morales, lovingly known to many as Ate Gay,” the statement read.
The family also expressed gratitude to those who extended prayers, financial assistance, love, and support throughout the comedian’s illness.
They appealed for continued prayers for Ate Gay’s eternal repose and for strength and comfort as they mourn his passing.
