Commission on Audit (COA) Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office (ICFAO) state auditor Xylene Del Campo took the witness stand on Wednesday as the House prosecution panel continued presenting evidence for Article I of the Articles of Impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte.
Del Campo became the next prosecution witness following fellow COA-ICFAO auditor and former state auditor Roderick Wamil, who testified before the Senate impeachment court for three consecutive days.
House private prosecutor Atty. Lorna Kapunan is set to lead the presentation and questioning of Del Campo as the prosecution continues to build its case regarding the alleged misuse and misappropriation of confidential funds.
Del Campo’s testimony is expected to focus on COA’s audit findings and procedures involving confidential fund expenditures under the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and other concerned offices.
The Senate impeachment court is currently hearing Article I of the Articles of Impeachment, which centers on allegations involving the improper use of confidential funds.
