Former Commission on Audit–Intelligence and Confidential Funds Office (COA-ICFAO) State Auditor Roderick Wamil admitted he was feeling “a bit anxious” before taking the witness stand during the 11th day of impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, August 3.
Before beginning her direct examination, House prosecution panel member Atty. Lorna Kapunan asked Wamil how he was feeling ahead of his testimony.
“I’m feeling a bit anxious lang po as of this moment,” Wamil replied.
Kapunan acknowledged his response and sought to reassure the witness, saying, “Nerbyos? Anxious. Huwag kang mag-anxious.”
Wamil was presented as a prosecution witness in connection with the allegations involving the Office of the Vice President’s confidential funds.
He previously conducted the audit of the OVP’s liquidation of confidential expenditures, which forms part of the evidence being examined in the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Duterte.
