The shearline is affecting the Visayas, while the northeast monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Luzon on Wednesday, according to PAGASA.

Based on the weather bureau’s 4:00 AM bulletin, Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shearline.

Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), the rest of Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, also due to the northeast monsoon.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by localized convection.

Forecast: Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

  • The eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds moving in a northeast direction, with coastal waters moderate to rough.

  • Northern Luzon will experience moderate winds moving east to northeast, with coastal waters moderate.

  • Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds moving northeast, with coastal waters slight to moderate.
