Palace Press Officer Claire Castro will retain her position amid leadership changes in the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
PCO Acting Secretary Lino Cayetano confirmed to reporters on Friday, October 23, praising Castro's combative approach to critics and the public, declaring, “She’s a treasure.”
Cayetano also mentioned that all appointees under the PCO’s previous leadership have already submitted their courtesy resignations. The directive applies to political and non-permanent appointees of the office, allowing the new head to select its members.
Castro was appointed undersecretary of the PCO in February 2025, along with former PCO Secretary Jay Ruiz.
