The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has formed and deployed tracker teams to locate Atty. Harry Roque and other individuals are allegedly involved in the POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.
CIDG Director PMGen. Nicolas Torre III stated that the move is part of the unit's intensified "Oplan Pagtugis," following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the court in Angeles City, Pampanga.
It was the CIDG itself that filed the complaint against the former Presidential Spokesperson over his alleged involvement in the human trafficking activities linked to Lucky South 99.
In addition to Roque–who acted as legal counsel for the property leased by Lucky South 99 and Cassie Ong, identified as a representative of the alleged scam hub–49 more individuals are being pursued under the same arrest warrant.
Several of them have Chinese-sounding names and are listed as incorporators of the company.
Meanwhile, PNP Public Information Chief PCol. Randulf Tuaño said that each region has designated tracker teams conducting a 24/7 manhunt for the 51 accused individuals across the country.
"Kausap ko po ang Director ng CIDG na si PMGen. Nicolas Torre III, siya po ay nag-create na po ng tracker teams. Ito po ay para sa buong Pilipinas po," Tuaño stated.
In line with this, the CIDG will coordinate with the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to discuss and lay out arrest plans, particularly for suspects who are reportedly outside the country.
Prior to the issuance of his arrest warrant, Roque departed the country in September and skipped multiple House hearings, even after receiving the official summons.
He is currently applying for political asylum in the Netherlands, where former President Rodrigo Duterte is being held as he faces charges before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
