The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) has ordered the permanent takedown of the Facebook pages of four high-profile social media influencers for allegedly promoting illegal online gambling platforms.

According to Renato Paraiso, acting executive director of the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, the influencers whose pages were removed include Miss Ginbilog with 6.8 million followers, Vic Desucatan with 6.9 million followers, Perkz Gaming with 1.1 million followers, and Awit Gamer with around 450,000 followers.

Authorities said the influencers were actively advertising unlicensed online casino and e-sabong platforms, which violate Philippine cybercrime and gambling regulations.

The takedown operation was carried out in coordination with Meta, the parent company of Facebook.

The CICC said the move is part of the government’s intensified campaign against illegal online gambling and warned that more vloggers and online personalities could face similar action.

The agency also urged the public to report influencers promoting illegal gambling activities through its 1326 hotline.
