Parokya ni Edgar band members, Chito Miranda and Gab Chee Kee, joined a father who was busking at the University of the Philippines (UP), to fund his daughter’s medical school bills.

In a social media post on Friday, March 21, Chito’s wife, Neri Miranda, said that her husband and their son, Miggy, were walking around UP-Diliman when they sighted the father performing at a food hub.

“Nasa UP sila Chito kahapon para igala si Miggy tapos may nagba-busking daw na tatay para raw sa anak niyang nagme-med school,” Neri wrote in her caption.

“Kaya tinawagan daw nya si Gabriel para tulungan yung tatay... game naman si Gab kaya pumunta sa UP Diliman agad,” she added.

In the now-viral video, the Parokya ni Edgar frontman and guitarist can be seen performing one of their famous tracks, “Your Song.”

In a separate post, The Busking Community PH identified the busker as Leo Santos Loops.

“Ang solid ni Sir Chito. Lumapit sya habang nagbabusking ako, gusto nya raw tumulong sa pamamagitan ng pagkanta nya ng ilan nilang kanta. I'm so honored, we are so blessed. Angas!!” the busker wrote in his social media post.
