Police in Central Luzon arrested 1,503 wanted persons in October, the highest monthly total recorded by any police regional office nationwide, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) said.

According to a report by RH Grace Sansano, PRO-3 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez announced the record-breaking figure, attributing the achievement to intensified police operations against crime across the region.

Of those arrested, 1,262 were classified as other most wanted persons, while 241 were among the region’s top 10 most wanted individuals.

Bulacan recorded the highest number of arrests among Central Luzon provinces with 327, followed by Pampanga with 270 and Nueva Ecija with 247.

Tarlac accounted for 197 arrests, Bataan had 164, Zambales recorded 101 and Aurora had 59.

The component cities of Angeles and Olongapo recorded 88 and 50 arrests, respectively.

Mendez said the arrests reflect the Philippine National Police’s intensified efforts to fight crime and ensure that individuals who violate the law are held accountable.

He also stressed the importance of bringing justice to the families of crime victims through the continued pursuit and arrest of wanted persons.
