Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo has been reassigned as the new Director for the PNP Directorate for Comptrollership, effective today, Thursday, June 20.
In a report by RH Edniel Parrosa, the appointment is part of a fresh round of reorganization within the police force, as stated in an order issued by the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management and signed by Police Major General Constancio Chinayog Jr.
The PNP Directorate for Comptrollership is primarily responsible for assisting the PNP Chief in managing the organization’s financial resources, including budgeting and fiscal oversight.
PBGen. Fajardo will replace PMGen. Neil Alinsañgan, who has been transferred to serve under the Area Police Command - Eastern Mindanao.
Following her reassignment, Fajardo is officially relieved from her previous post as Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon).
Taking over her position in Central Luzon is PBGen. Rogelio Peñones, who was earlier designated as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Police Regional Office 6.
The latest round of reshuffling also includes the appointment of:
- PBGen. Gerry Protacio as OIC of Police Regional Office 2 (Cagayan Valley),
- PBGen. Josefino Ligan as OIC of Police Regional Office 6 (Western Visayas),
- PBGen. Dindo Reyes as OIC of Police Regional Office 1 (Ilocos Region).
This organizational movement is part of the PNP's ongoing effort to strengthen leadership and enhance operational effectiveness across the regions.
