Celeste Cortesi announced that she is expecting her first child.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, April 19, the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 shared the news through a silhouette photo showing her baby bump alongside the sonogram of her baby.
“To love someone in the most selfless way,” she wrote in the caption.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulations from fellow beauty queens and celebrities, including Michelle Dy, Kylie Verzosa, Beatrice Luigi Gomez, and Chelsea Manalo.
“You’ll be the best mom, queen!” Dy commented.
“Excited and happy for you babe 🩵,” Verzosa wrote.
“Sooo happy for u 😍🩷 congratulations,” Gomez said.
According to a report from Inquirer Entertainment, Cortesi confirmed that the father of her child is her partner, British national Jonathan Sterling.
Cortesi first gained prominence after winning Miss Philippines Earth 2018, where she went on to place in the Top 8 internationally. She later won Miss Universe Philippines 2022, which led to her representing the Philippines at Miss Universe 2022.
Following her pageant career, Cortesi transitioned into entertainment. She has also remained active in the pageant industry, serving as a judge for Miss Grand Philippines in 2024.
