A policeman was dismissed over a viral video wherein he told netizens to bring him a drug user and a drug “pusher” or dealer for prize money.

The officer, assigned to the Talisay City Police Station in Cebu, offered ₱2,000 to whoever can bring him a drug user and ₱5,000 for a street-level drug dealer in the controversial “Bring Me” video.

In an interview at Camp Crame, Acting Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PLtGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the agency is currently investigating the incident, said RH 52 Edniel Parrosa.

Nartatez has also had the original video taken down while the police are conducting an internal inquiry.

The police chief stressed that officers should uphold proper operational procedures, even in personal social media posts. He said the “Bring Me” video was inappropriate, given the sensitive nature of the anti-illegal drugs campaign.
