The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has expressed support for a planned “White Ribbon March” on June 28 at the EDSA People Power Monument, urging participation in a peaceful and prayerful call for integrity in public life.

In a pastoral message issued Monday, CBCP President Archbishop of Lipa Gilbert A. Garcera thanked clergy, religious communities, and lay faithful for sustained prayer initiatives in recent months, including what it described as nationwide efforts for “enlightenment, conversion, and renewal.”

The bishops’ conference said various religious groups are organizing the gathering at the EDSA People Power Monument, framing it as a non-partisan appeal for truth, accountability, justice, and righteousness amid continuing concerns over corruption and public trust.

Those who choose to participate were encouraged to do so “prayerfully and respectfully,” while the CBCP emphasized that the primary focus for Catholics should remain participation in Sunday Mass and devotion to the Eucharist.

“The power of the Eucharist renews hearts and transforms lives,” the message said, adding that the sacrament enables believers to become instruments of peace, reconciliation, and hope.

The bishops also called on the faithful to entrust the country to the maternal protection of the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, invoking her guidance for both citizens and leaders during what it described as a time of national challenges.

The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is currently touring parts of the country as part of ongoing religious observances.

The pastoral message concluded with a renewed appeal for continued prayer for moral renewal and national transformation.
