Senator Alan Peter Cayetano delivered a pointed message to Senator Panfilo Lacson during a Facebook Live session on Thursday, June 18, questioning Lacson’s handling of witnesses linked to ongoing Senate investigations on the flood control scandal.

Cayetano criticized Lacson for repeatedly commenting on the so-called 18 "maleta boys" but allegedly refusing to present them before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee for formal testimony.

“Ang message ko kay Sen. Lacson, simple lang. Gusto mo tumahimik muna ako, meditate, pray, ikaw din,” Cayetano said in his livestream.

He also defended the need for public hearings involving witnesses, including former military personnel and security staff, arguing that their testimonies are relevant to ongoing inquiries.

Cayetano said many of the individuals being referred to were former Marines, bodyguards, and both former and active military personnel who had served as part of security teams for public officials, including former House Appropriations Committee Chair Zaldy Co.

“Marami pa po diyan… Alam naman po natin na parating may security naman po ang ating mga congressman, senador at mga secretary… Alam natin hindi sila pipi’t bingi. So anong mawawala na may hearing na fair at pakinggan?” he said.

The senator also warned that other officials, including Senator Manny Pacquiao and Senator Bong Go, may be included in succeeding lines of inquiry.
