With the victory, Cleveland advances to the Eastern Conference semifinals after a back-and-forth series in which the home team won every game. The Cavaliers finally broke that pattern in decisive fashion, using a strong second-half surge to pull away.

Toronto stayed competitive early, matching Cleveland’s pace through the opening two quarters. But the Cavaliers tightened defensively after halftime, limiting clean looks and forcing key turnovers as the Raptors’ offense stalled in crucial stretches.

The game followed a series of trends defined by balance on both sides. Cleveland and Toronto entered Game 7 nearly identical statistically, with matching scoring outputs and razor-thin margins across the first six games.

The Raptors also came in with momentum after RJ Barrett’s late heroics in Game 6 forced the deciding matchup.

Still, Cleveland capitalized on home court advantage when it mattered most, extending the franchise’s postseason run in front of an energized crowd.

The Cavaliers will now move on to face their Eastern Conference semifinal opponent beginning Tuesday.
