Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Usec. Claire Castro, on Friday, criticized Vice President Sara Duterte after she admitted difficulty using a computer, raising concerns about her ability to lead in a higher office.
Castro said Duterte’s own statement confirmed that she is not proficient in using a computer, noting that the vice president allegedly relies on others even for basic tasks such as operating devices during online meetings.
“Inamin niya mismo na siya ay hindi marunong gumamit ng computer at ginagamit lamang niya ito kapag nag-zoom so most probably may tagapindot pa siya nito,” Castro said in a statement.
Castro questioned how Duterte would be able to make informed decisions if she struggles with technology, particularly as she is being considered for higher leadership roles.
She also cited Duterte’s previous tenure as Education secretary, claiming the vice president admitted she could not personally review key policies such as the MATATAG curriculum due to her limited technical knowledge.
The PCO official further criticized Duterte’s leadership style, alleging that the vice president relies heavily on subordinates without independently reviewing their work.
Castro added.
