After his double-gold win at the Asian Games in Japan, Olympic medalist Carlos Yulo and his younger brother, Karl Eldrew Yulo, were surprised with a homecoming celebration.

“After everything we went through before and during the Asian Games, we came home to this surprise from our people, my CHOSEN family,” Carlos Yulo said in a Facebook post.

His girlfriend, Chloe San Jose’s family held an intimate gathering to celebrate the Yulo brothers’ recent wins.

“Thank You, Lord, for giving me people who went through the hard days with us, celebrate every victory with us, and never left our side. Salamat, Panginoon, sa pagpanalo Mo sa amin,” Yulo wrote.

“Thank you mahal ko Chloe sa pag share mo ng pamilya mo sa amin ni Eldrew, for loving us, looking after us, and making us feel that we are never alone,” he added.

The elder Yulo secured gold in the men’s floor exercise event on September 24 and bagged a second gold the day after, for his stellar performance during the men's individual vault final.

Meanwhile, Eldrew seized bronze in the horizontal bar final.
