Camarines Sur emerged as the most visited province in the Bicol Region in 2025, according to the year-end data from the Department of Tourism (DOT) Regional Office 5. The province welcomed a total of 721,631 tourists, including 708,367 local visitors and 13,264 foreign travelers.

DOT Region 5 Director Herbie Aguas highlighted the province’s strong appeal, citing both faith tourism and natural attractions. He also added that Camarines Sur remains number one because of sites like Penafrancia, which draws devotees year-round, Caramoan, and the Survivor Series events. Every month, at least 1,000 tourists visit.

Tourists are drawn to popular spots such as the Camarines Sur Water Complex, Caramoan Islands, Mt. Isarog Natural Park, heritage sites, and festivals. Signature events include the Penafrancia Fiesta and the Kaogma Festival, celebrated as one of the hottest festivals in the world.

The provincial government expressed pride in the recognition, saying it reflects the combined efforts of local and private sectors in boosting tourism.
