The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) reported that no airport facilities sustained significant damage from the onslaught of Tropical Storm Ada, although a few flights were cancelled, it said on Sunday.

In a press release, it said that four flights were cancelled on January 18, affecting 409 passengers.

The cancelled flights are the following:

  • 5J 821 (Manila–Virac)

  • 5J 822 (Virac–Manila)

  • DG 6171 (Clark–Masbate)

  • DG 6172 (Masbate–Clark)

“Despite the adverse weather conditions, all airports remain operational, with CAAP personnel placed on heightened alert to promptly respond to any potential emergencies,” CAAP wrote.

The agency is currently monitoring weather developments and airport operations, and promises to keep passenger safety and security its top priority.

According to reports, Tropical Storm Ada has so far affected 7,170 families or 10,249 individuals in the Bicol and Caraga regions.
