Bus terminals in Pasay City were swarmed by chance passengers this Maundy Thursday, as travelers scrambled to find transportation to the provinces for the Lenten break.

Despite the high volume of people hoping to secure a seat, terminal personnel delivered a grim outlook for those without prior reservations.

“Yung mga babiyahe ngayon ubos na ang ticket, wala kayo makukuhang ticket ngayon,” a security guard at one of the terminals stated.

The influx of passengers at the terminals comes amid a significant shift in city traffic. While the transport hubs remained congested, the situation on major roads such as EDSA was reportedly light, with roads appearing clear as the majority of travelers had already begun their journey to the provinces.
