Bulacan 6th District Representative Salvador A. Pleyto Sr. has denied allegations linking him to supposed money remittances from the Discaya family, following reports citing statements by Ombudsman Crispin Remulla regarding an alleged Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) report.

In an official statement, Pleyto strongly refuted the claims and condemned what he described as baseless insinuations against him.

“Mariin kong kinokondena ang anumang paratang at pahiwatig laban sa akin," Pleyto said.

He emphasized his respect for institutional processes and expressed confidence that the truth will eventually prevail.

“Nais ko ring ipaabot na nauunawaan ko ang tungkulin ng bawat institusyon sa paghahanap ng katotohanan, at buo ang aking tiwala na sa bandang huli, ang katotohanan ang siyang mananaig,” he added.

Pleyto also urged the public to avoid making premature conclusions or spreading unverified information related to the issue.

"Ako ay magalang na nananawagan sa publiko na huwag munang magbigay ng konklusyon o magpalaganap ng mga balitang hindi pa napapatunayan,” he said.

The AMLC has yet to issue an official statement confirming or clarifying the alleged report mentioned by the Ombudsman.
