In commemoration of the first year since former President Rodrigo Duterte’s arrest and transfer to the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) custody in The Hague, Netherlands, a “Bring Him Home” mass was held in San Pedro Cathedral, Davao City.
Filipinos gathered at the cathedral to pray for the former President’s safe and immediate homecoming on Wednesday, March 11.
Vice President Sara Duterte, his daughter, expressed heartfelt gratitude for everyone who stood by their family and continued to support and pray for them, according to a translation of her social media post.
“From you comes our strength,” she said in Davao Bisaya.
Days ago, Vice President Duterte invited the public to join the church mass to pray for her father.
