Bretman Rock and Justice Fester have split up after a year of being in a relationship.
The internet personality confirmed the news through his Instagram stories on Tuesday, August 5, quickly addressing fans' questions about Justice.
“It was a mutual breakup. It was amicable and—there’s one thing I want to get out of the way, it’s that we’re still friends. We still have love for each other and I do believe that in divine timing, if we’re really meant for each other, then we will find each other again,” Bretman clarified.
“And that’s exactly how we found each other this time anyways. I just want to say that. I still love him, we’re still friends. Everything was a mutual, mature understanding,” he added.
From the beginning until the end of their relationship, Bretman said they both prioritized their mental health, self-love, and communication with each other.
The influencer asked for privacy during this time to process everything. Despite the breakup, he also asked fans not to point any fingers at anyone, emphasizing that it was two adults who decided that breaking up was what they needed for their mental health’s sake.
“Like I said again, that was something that we truly valued, and this time we just want to focus on ourselves. Like I said again, who knows what the future will bring? But right now, I am locked in on myself,” he said.
“I would say this is my self-love era, but girl, I always have love for myself. Period,” he ended.
The two met in 2018, but only began dating a few years after they reconnected. The Filipino-American influencer and Justice went public with their relationship in June 2024.
They celebrated their anniversary last May.
