Bonuan Buquig National High School located at Dagupan City wins ‘World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action’ organized by Global Organization T4 Education.
The school was chosen because of the community’s efforts of environmental care, especially the mangroves surrounding the area.
In 2009, Bagyong Pepeng affected the community’s mangroves resulting in its destruction, since then the people have been making an effort to restore the damaged mangroves.
