

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) confiscated approximately ₱705 million worth of counterfeit perfumes and cosmetic products during a successful enforcement operation in Valenzuela City on Saturday, April 11.
Authorities served a Letter of Authority on April 10, enabling an immediate raid on a warehouse suspected of storing counterfeit luxury goods. Initial inspection revealed large volumes of fake luxury-inspired perfumes and cosmetics bearing the trademarks of several international brands, including Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, and others. The estimated value of the seized items reached ₱705,168,000. Led by Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno, the operation was carried out by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) of the Manila International Container Port (MICP), following intelligence reports from the Office of the Commissioner. The operation was supported by the Enforcement and Security Service (ESS)-MICP, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Philippine National Police. Commissioner Nepomuceno said the swift action was crucial to prevent the possible removal or concealment of the goods, stressing the importance of intelligence-driven operations.
