The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has raised over ₱102 million through the auction of luxury cars linked to the high-profile Discaya case, returning the proceeds to the Bureau of the Treasury to fund government programs.
Nine of the thirteen vehicles seized in the case have now been sold, reflecting the Bureau’s commitment to transparency and lawful restitution.
During the February 25 auction, twelve vehicles were offered, including seven tied to the Discaya case.
Three of these were sold: a 2024 Lincoln Navigator to Cantinetta Espresso Concepts for ₱6.95 million, a 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV to Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc. for ₱6.623 million, and a Bentley Bentayga to TDY Consumer Goods Trading for ₱12.178 million. Including registration fees, these sales generated ₱25.771 million.
“Restitution and transparency are at the core of our mission with these vehicles and in every enforcement action we undertake,” said BOC Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno.
