The Bureau of Customs (BOC), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the Clark Inter-Agency Task Force Against Illegal Drugs (CRK-IATFAID) seized ₱6.29 million worth of suspected illegal drugs concealed in water pressure equipment.

On Friday, the BOC announced that the said joint operation led to the confiscation of what is believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, colloquially known as “shabu.”

The equipment the shabu was discovered in was from a shipment that had arrived from the United States.

The shipment underwent a full physical examination after suspicious findings during scanning by the BOC X-ray Inspection Project (XIP).

More information following examination and verification is yet to be released.
