The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Friday reopened a second auction for the four remaining luxury vehicles seized from government contractor couple Curlee and Sarah Discaya.
The auction opened today at the BOC office, drawing six interested bidders for the four luxury vehicles still in government custody.
This follows the initial auction held on November 20, where only three out of seven premium vehicles were successfully sold.
For the second round of bidding, the BOC significantly reduced the minimum prices of the four unsold units, according to RH Boy Gonzales' report.
The Toyota Tundra, previously priced at ₱4.9 million, now carries a floor price of just over ₱3.4 million. The Toyota Sequoia dropped from its original ₱7.2 million to more than ₱4.6 million.
Meanwhile, the Bentley Bentayga’s price was lowered from ₱17.3 million to over ₱13.8 million.
The most expensive of the lineup, the Rolls-Royce, saw its floor price reduced from ₱45.3 million to more than ₱36.2 million.
Meanwhile, two luxury vehicles have been sold: Sequoia (2023) to Jose Maria Esteban III for ₱6,000,000. And Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG (2022) to RMCE Metal Products Trading Corp for ₱3,480,000. With a total collection money worth of P9,510,200, according to the BOC.
