Motorists should brace for another round of fuel price hikes starting Tuesday, October 7, according to the Department of Energy (DOE).

Based on the latest oil trading data, the following price adjustments will take effect:

Gasoline: +₱1.20 per liter

Diesel: +₱2.00 per liter

Kerosene: +₱1.70 per liter

The DOE’s Oil Industry Management Bureau (OIMB) earlier projected the uptick is mainly driven by steady refinery demand, new U.S. sanctions on Russian oil companies, and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which continues to disrupt global supply chains.

The latest price adjustment comes just days before the Undas long weekend, affecting motorists and commuters expected to travel to the provinces for the holiday.
