The Department of Labor (DOLE) announced on Wednesday a wage increase for workers in the private sector within the Bicol region, which will be implemented in two tranches.

The daily minimum wage for Bicol workers has been increased to ₱455, effective today, April 8, in compliance with Wage Order No. RBV-23.

This amount will be raised again on December 1, to ₱480.

The Bicol region is the last to complete the wage adjustment cycle for 2025-2026.

On July 18 last year, workers in Metro Manila saw a ₱50 wage hike under Wage Order No. NCR-26.
