Filipino folk-pop sensation Ben&Ben delivered heartfelt performances for 30 newlywed couples during the annual Kasalang Bayan in Pasig City on Saturday, in celebration of Valentine’s Day.

The special event, organized by the Pasig City local government, turned even more memorable as the band surprised couples by serenading them with a mix of their latest and most beloved songs.

“First time maging witness at tumugtog sa kasalang bayan. Sa hirap at ginhawa, lungkot at ligaya, mabuhay ang mga bagong kasal!!! Oras na para punuin ng alaala ang inyong duyan,” the group shared, expressing their joy in being part of the milestone celebration.

The highlight of the serenade was the band’s newest single, Duyan, a tender ode to love and commitment. They also performed iconic tracks including Araw-Araw and Pagtingin, drawing emotional reactions from the couples and their families.

The mass wedding ceremony was officiated by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, who expressed gratitude to the band for making the event extra special.

“Nagulat at sobrang saya ng lahat lalo na ng mga bagong kasal. You made this day extra special for them. Thank you for doing this with us!” Sotto commented on the band’s Facebook post.

Aside from the musical surprise, the couples also enjoyed a ceremonial walk down the aisle and a wedding reception prepared by the city government.

The annual Kasalang Bayan continues to be one of Pasig City’s most anticipated Valentine’s Day traditions, offering couples not only the opportunity to formalize their union but also unforgettable moments — this year made even sweeter with a live serenade from one of the country’s most celebrated bands.
