Actress Belle Mariano is calling on the public to “let go of negativity and hate,” stating that there are more important things that need attention.
In an Instagram story on Monday, March 30, the actress shared a short statement, urging netizens to choose kindness, patience, and understanding.
“‘Wag na po tayong mag-away away,” she wrote. “Have a blessed Holy Week, everyone!”

Her statement comes after her reel partner Donny Pangilinan’s thread on X (formerly Twitter), asking the public to stop the hate against Shuvee Etrata. The actor stated that he does not usually speak up, but felt compelled to do so after seeing the extent of the criticisms thrown at the former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate.
“There are far more important things happening in our country. I feel like we’ve gotten too comfortable throwing hate online without thinking about how that affects actual human beings who have done nothing wrong,” the actor wrote.
“This is for all fandoms. Artists have lives too. It’s gone below the belt. Why did we reach this point?” he continued.
He then asked the public to keep Belle out of the narratives, stating, “She is beautiful, talented, and most importantly, has a great heart.”
He also highlighted that they are all friends in the industry and questioned why there was a need to keep pitting people against each other.
Both the actor and actress ended their statement by wishing everyone a blessed Holy Week, and hoped that the public was doing okay despite the situation in the country.
Shuvee has since apologized to DonBelle fans during a media conference for her upcoming horror film, “Huwag Kang Titingin.” In an interview, she addressed the backlash over her viral fangirl moment after meeting Donny at a birthday celebration.
“Sa lahat na po ng DonBelle fans, gusto ko pong mag-sorry if I reacted that way. I’m so sorry if I’m always fangirling over Donny. I will do my best para mapigilan po yung nararamdaman natin next time,” she said, clarifying that she is a fan of the actor.
