The Guinness World Records has debunked the claim made by the group of supporters of presidential candidate Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. saying that the latter holds the record for having the longest motorcade in the Philippines.
Earlier this week, a social media post by the “BBM-Sara Uniteam Headquarters Northern Luzon” claimed that the recent Ilocos Norte caravan for the tandem of Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte climbed to the top of the Guinness ladder.
Photos of the gathering were seen in the post as well as a supposed certification from the Guinness world itself.
“This information is incorrect,” the Guinness World Records’ official Facebook page said in response to a now-deleted post by a group of Marcos supporters.
The Marcos camp has yet to issue a comment on the matter.
