Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has no recent travel records, Bureau of Immigration (BI) spokesperson Dana Sandoval told DZRH News on Thursday, May 14.
The BI has yet to respond to what action, if any, would be taken should the senator, who is reportedly facing an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC), be seen at an airport.
This comes following reports claiming that dela Rosa had already left the Senate premises past 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, hours after the gunfire incident.
Rumors also circulated on social media alleging that Senator Robin Padilla and dela Rosa were seen at the VIP area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 at around 4:10 a.m. for a supposed "domestic flight." However, authorities have not confirmed the claims.
Dela Rosa is facing charges linked to the controversial anti-drug campaign conducted during the administration of former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently in The Hague, Netherlands.
The ICC has identified dela Rosa as a “co-perpetrator” alongside Duterte in the crimes against humanity case connected to the government’s war on drugs during the former president’s term.
