Lawyer Levito “Levi” Baligod, counsel for the former bodyguards of ex-Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co, and 14 others were arrested in San Juan City on Friday over an unjust vexation complaint.
The arrest warrant was issued by the Zambales Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 69 in Iba on September 23, 2026, and signed by Judge Santiago Beltran, according to a report of RH Val Gonzales.
Police said Baligod is currently detained at the San Juan City Police Station after he was arrested in front of the San Juan City Hall of Justice, where he was scheduled to attend a hearing for a separate case before the local court.
The court set bail at P10,000 for each accused.
The 14 individuals were among those known as the “maleta boys,” who allegedly delivered suitcases containing money in connection with anomalous flood control projects.
Authorities have yet to release more details about the complaint.
