The Baguio City government is considering declaring a “no-build zone” in Barangay Guisad Surong, where a landslide killed 10 people and destroyed three houses on August 9.

The city government said the tragedy has prompted authorities to strictly enforce safety regulations in landslide-prone areas while seeking safer relocation sites for families who have lived along the mountain slopes for years.
